XTS Energy

Sustainable Energy Asset Development

XTS Energy LLC (“XTS”) is a Texas based energy development company with principal owners that have been instrumental in developing and commercializing energy projects that have had a significant impact in the energy transition to a lower carbon future, both in the US and internationally, over the past 30 years.  These technologies have included wind power generation, solar power, and liquefied natural gas ("LNG").  The XTS Team has played a role in raising over $8.0 billion in capital to fund over 25 energy projects in the US, Europe, and Mexico.

XTS is continuing our trend of low carbon project development in three areas:
  • Liquefied Natural Gas (“LNG”) in a wholly owned division of the company “Cordillera Sur Energia” or “CSE”. CSE is developing a project to move natural gas from the Vaca Muerta basin in Argentina through a pipeline to the Pacific Coast of Chile. The Vaca Muerta basin has 300 TCF of natural gas which is virtually untapped and can be produced at costs that are competitive with the Permian Basin. The natural gas will be transported to Chile for both domestic and export purposes. The export volumes (1-2 MTPA) will be liquefied and exported to markets in Asia. The Pacific coast location will enable CSE to move gas to Asian markets at transport coasts that are competitive with LNG projects on the US Gulf Coast. See the CSE website at www.cordillerasurenergia.com for further details.

  •  XTS is developing a Sustainable Aviation Fuel ("SAF") project on the US Gulf Coast to produce 30+ million gallons per year of SAF and renewable diesel.  The SAF Project would produce SAF from a decarbonized ethanol feedstock using guaranteed Alcohol to Jet ("ATJ") technology.  The Carbon Intensity ("CI") of the fuel would be lower than conventional jet fuel made from petroleum feedstocks and would meet ASTM 7566 Annex 5 specifications.  This project is currently entering into technology and engineering negotiations and preliminary agreements with proven technology partners, ethanol feedstock providers, off takers and potential financing partners.

  • XTS is developing a Blue Ammonia/Methanol project on the US Gulf Coast to produce blue ammonia and blue methanol.  These projects will employ steam methane reforming of natural gas and Carbon Capture and Sequestration (“CCS”) technology to produce ammonia and methanol with low CI indices.  These products will be exported to markets in Europe and Asia where consumers are looking for low carbon alternatives for transport and power generation.
